Welcome to RAOC
RAOC is currently engaged in a critical, market-driven transformation in the ways we serve our 2700 neighbors and friends in Rockbridge County who are Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled.
Jay Scudder - Making People Able
Getting the business community involved in RAOC’s mission is vitally important for both government and private businesses. One important person in Rockbridge County who embraces that philosophy is Jay Scudder, City Manager of Buena Vista.
Debbie is a loving and supporting sister to Robin, and wants only the best for her. She knows that for many of Rockbridge County’s disadvantaged and intellectually challenged, seeing a smile on someone else’s face is enough to make them happy or feel that they are part of something.
Back to Life Again
Many in Rockbridge County are born disadvantaged with intellectual disabilities. But imagine if you, like Michael, suffered an injury where your so-called “normal” life was turned into an uphill struggle to speak and function due to traumatic brain injury.
